The Foundrax X-BHD range of bridge type Brinell hardness testers features three models offering different levels of specification
The entry level X-BHD is a manually-operated indentation-only model and uses a removable 134 portable Brinell test head for applying the test force of up to 29,420N (3000kgf). It can be used in conjunction with an external Foundrax BRINtronic fully automatic Brinell microscope for indentation measurement.
The X-BHD Type B is a higher specification machine using a multi-force closed loop (load cell controlled) servo motor controlled test head that includes automatic timing cycle. It offers indentation only and is also ideal for use with an external Foundrax BRINtronic fully automatic Brinell microscope for indentation measurement
Further flexibility is available across the range depending on customer requirements. Frame size, type, available axes of movement and whether these various axes are powered or otherwise can all be configured at the design stage according to need. All models incorporate motorized vertical movement of the test head.
The X-BHD Type D is the top of the range model, again using a multi-force closed loop (load cell controlled) servo motor controlled test head but it also comes with an integral BRINtronic automatic Brinell microscope for fully automatic operator-independent indentation, optical measurement and recording of the results.
